This summer saw plenty of experience pro’s left without a job searching for employment on the free agent market. The likes of Michael Owen, Paul Scharner and Emile Heskey all found moves while Owen Hargreaves, Craig Gordon and Harry Kewell all find themselves waiting by the phone.
While the likes of Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Jamie Carragher are currently in the final year of their respective deals it is too hard to see them playing for anybody else so they have been excluded from the running; yet there are still plenty of big names currently biding their time.
So come next summer which players could be moving on for nothing from the Premier League?
Here is our ‘Bosman Ruling XI’…

DC: Brede Hangeland - Fulham
DC: Rio Ferdinand - Manchester United
DR: Danny Simpson - Newcastle United
DL: Ashley Cole - Chelsea
MC: Phil Neville - Everton
MC: Frank Lampard - Chelsea
MC: Florent Malouda - Chelsea
CAM: Andrei Arshavin - Arsenal
ST: Theo Walcott - Arsenal
ST: Daniel Sturridge - Chelsea
SUBS

DF: Kolo Toure - Manchester City
DF: William Gallas - Tottenham Hotspur

MF: Dean Whitehead - Stoke City

In reserve you could also have the likes of Damien Duff, Mladen Petric, Fraizer Campbell, Richard Dunne, Lukasz Fabianksi, Sylvain Distin, Eric Lichaj and Yossi Benayoun. You could even dip into the Championship for Stuart Holden, Kevin Doyle and Lee Chung-Yong.
It is certainly a situation to keep an eye on and come January we will re-monitor the situation and assess who could walk away for free next summer.
Who would you want your team to pick up on a bargain?
