With the success of Michu, Hernandez, Chico Flores and Ki Sung yeung this season, my guess is the manager will be looking at the European market to bulster the squad, and here’s my top three choices:
The young striker has had a great start to this season for Saint-Etienne. The 23-year-old, who began his career with Italian giants AC Milan, but moved to France last year, has impressed in Ligue 1.
Aubameyang has already expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, and Swansea’s form of late could entice the player to South West Wales.
His strengths are key passing, headed attempts and he is a great finisher. Team him up with Michu and the goals will be flying in come January. A duo that would cause a headache to any defence.
Sporting Braga striker Eder
The Portugal forward has been in awesome form this season, scoring six goals in just eight Primeira Liga games.
His performance against Manchester United in the Champions League was impressive, and his desire to play top flight football could spark a move after the Portuguese side were knocked out of the Champions League group stages (as well as failing to qualify for the Europa League last week).
His strike rate has caught the eye of teams across Europe, but a buy-out clause worth £24m in his contract could be problematic.
Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas
Labelled the most under-rated player this season in La Liga, the Spanish forward would be a great signing for Swansea.
He has pace, can create goals, score goals, hold on to balls, and just as Swansea like it, his passing is sharp.
If Swansea could seal the deal with this gem, then the Welsh side would create problems for the rest of the Premier League come January.
