Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that defender Nemanja Vidic will definitely make his return in their fixture against Sunderland next weekend. Vidic has been out since mid-September and the manager hailed his return as big bonus to the club.
“It would have been crazy to play him against City but against Sunderland...definitely. It's a big bonus to have him back. He is a real competitor with that uncompromising way of his. He likes defending - that's what it is."
Giggs said in relation to an incident following United’s 3-2 victory over rivals City in the Manchester derby last weekend, in which Ferdinand was struck by a projectile, thought to be a coin thrown from the crowd,
"Sometimes you can't help some individuals when they just do crazy things."

In a podcast on the club’s official website, Giggs also stated his belief that United have everything they need now to push on over the festive period. He told the club’s website,
“We have got everything is in place for the busy Christmas period and the confidence of such a great result.”
In transfer news, various sources are linking United with a move to bring Arsenal winger Theo Walcott to Old Trafford in a bid to reunite him with Robin van Persie.
Walcott could be lined to replace contract rebel Nani, whose sale in January could fund the transfer of the Englishman, who has yet to secure his future at the Emirates.
Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil is also named as a target for Sir Alex Ferguson this coming winter transfer window. According to reports, Ferguson is interested in bringing the German maestro in as a successor to Paul Scholes.
Meanwhile for United legend Willie Morgan has urged Ferguson to buy Raheem Sterling, claiming that he has the potential to be the best winger in the country for years to come.
