'All the teams and I are very honoured to receive this prestigious Award', said Jean-Laurent Bonnafe, CEO of BNP Paribas. 'I want to express my gratitude to IFR for selecting us, and to our clients, around the world, who choose to work with us. Their satisfaction is the result of the commitment shown by our employees.
'In these challenging times for the financial services industry, BNP Paribas successfully completed an ambitious adaptation plan for the new regulatory environment. Today, with a 9.5% Basel III fully-loaded common equity Tier 1 ratio, BNP Paribas is one of the best-capitalised leading global banks, and has, furthermore, consistently remained profitable since its creation. This will enable us to continue to develop and provide a first class service to our clients globally', added Bonnafe.
The IFR Awards will be presented at the 18th Annual IFR Awards Gala Dinner, attended by over 1,000 senior investment bankers on 23 January, 2013 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, President of Save The Children, will attend the dinner, which is the charity's largest annual fund raiser, and last year raised nearly £1.3m. Over £20m has been raised for Save The Children at IFR Awards dinners.
