It’s effectively the worst drew that either side could have hoped for. Manchester United’s defensive problems could be greatly exposed by the Spanish champions while Jose Mourinho would have been looking for a more straight forward route into the last eight.
It also means a chance for United fans to see Cristiano Ronaldo back at his old club for the very first time. The ‘Viva Ronaldo’ chants will be out in force but here’s to hoping he doesn’t score against the English side.
