MIA Bad Girls

Welcome to the week between Christmas and New Year's. We have 10 videos below for you to watch, so with that, your two hour lunch, and Pinterest, you'll get through the workday no problem.

We know what we bought this year (Adele's Skyfall, PSY's Gangham Style, Gonzales' album Solo Piano II, and, well, that might be it). Not at all an exhaustive list of the best things that came out. So we've called upon the experts (Billboard, Rolling Stone and Fuse) and put together our own Top 10 list.

1. Jane's Addiction - Underground

How did we miss this? Somehow, they've recaptured the psychadelic sound that defined them at their best, and put out something we like as much as Three Days, and more recently, Just Because.

2. PSY - Gangham Style

No. 47 on Billboard's list, and really, they should know. Is that because it exploded in August? We're putting it down as No. 2.

3. Adele - Set Fire to the Rain

We're bandwagon fans, too, but really, we might have to check out these lyrics to find out how on earth one sets fire to the rain.

4. Gotye featuring Kimba - Somebody That I Used to Know

Do we love it? Do we hate it? We still can't decide. But we always like hearing it.

5. Carly Rae Jepson - Call Me Maybe

Has silly pop ever been so...unavoidably great?

6. fun. - Some Nights

Who cares if our 10-year-old nephew introduced us to this one?

7. Chari XCX - You're the One

This synthy pop song is all good for us.

8. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

Who cares if you're too old for boy bands this time around? There's a whole generation that's not.

9. M.I.A. - Bad Girls

A cool girl singing about a life we aren't living. We need one every year.

10. The Ravonettes - Young & Cold

Echo-y European country music. Cool.

Five of the Best

Things we love, things we want, things we want to do, and things we think are just cool, interesting, or at least noteworthy.

  1. At a loss for Father's Day (16th June)? If he likes Burgers & Beer, Cheese & Ale or Steaks & Wine, then click here.
  2. Summering in England got you down? Relish in these weekend spots. You'll be putting in for a transfer to New York in no time.
  3. If you wish you lived in a luxurious, hip barns like we do, then you'll want to click here to find out about renting one for a self-catering holiday.
  4. We haven't exactly fact-checked this Abercrombie & Fitch slam, but we're certainly open to it (and think you should be, too).
  5. Yes, you fine young thing, this pop up supper club at the Sanderson is exactly where you need to be dining on the weekends in May and June.
