Inter Milan, Lazio, Juventus, AC Milan, Atalanta, Sevilla, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Fenerbahce and Paris Saint-Germain all feature in our round up of European transfer news…
Lazio legend Tommaso Rocchi appears to finally be on the verge of concluding a move to Inter Milan. The 35-year-old reportedly played his last training session with the club he has been at for nearly ten years on New Year’s Day and is expected to join the Nerazzuri by the end of the week. Details surrounding the deal are sketchy with some believing it will be a loan spell but judging by the words of Rocchi himself it is far more likely the move will be permanent:
"I leave Lazio reluctantly. Will I return? Hopefully it will be possible in the future."
Staying in Italy and it appears that Didier Drogba is becoming a transfer target for AC Milan. It follows news that the Rossoneri are becoming increasingly likely to sell Alexandre Pato back to Brazil with Corinthians and with Roberto Mancini confirming he has no intentions to sell anyone this January the former Chelsea man has emerged as a genuine transfer target for the Italian side instead of Mario Balotelli. His situation at Shanghai Shenhua is increasingly volatile and Milan feel ready to move for him before the start of the African Nations Cup in South Africa.
Meanwhile Federico Peluso will undergo a medical in Turin today ahead of a loan move to Juventus. The Scudetto holders have agreed a loan-deal for the 28-year-old Italian which could see him move permanently from current club Atalanta in the summer. He is considered a replacement for Giorgio Chiellini who is currently out with an injury until February.
In Spain and La Liga outfit Sevilla have announced the signing of Bosnian international Miroslav Stevanovic. The forward arrived on Wednesday to complete a medical and will move from Serbian side Vojvodina and his arrival may help the club fight a poor run of form that has seen them slip to 14th in the table.
In Germany the Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen are ready to test the resolve of league leaders Bayern Munich with a tempting offer for two of their brightest young talents currently on the fringes of the squad. Emre Can and Mitchell Weiser are the players in question with any deal likely to be a loan. However they face competition for Can from Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
And finally the deal that sees Lucas Moura sign for Paris Saint-Germain has now been completed. The Brazilian international, and one-time Manchester United target, put pen-to-paper on a deal in Qatar yesterday and he hopes to lead PSG to a title charge this season.
