Would you like any of these players arriving at Newcastle this month?
Douglas of FC Twente
Douglas of FC Twente is a versatile defender who can play in a variety of positions across the back four. Alan Pardew has made it a priority to sure up the Newcastle United defence and the club are thought to be in a scrap with Inter Milan to sign the defender. His contract expires in the summer which means Twente could try and move him on before the end of January.

Modibo Maiga of West Ham United
Maiga only joined West Ham United last summer but he is an Alan Pardew type player in the respect that he is versatile in attack and hard working. This could be a more expensive option than Peter Odemwingie from West Bromwich Albion but Newcastle don’t seemingly have competition for him if they decided to make a move.

Rodrigo Moreno of Benfica
This talented 21-year-old striker has a brilliant record of 38 goals in 47 appearances and 12 goals in ten appearances for the Spanish Under-21 side. His age means that if Pardew wants to add attacking fire power to his squad, the club may not have to pay as much as for an experienced and proven top level striker.
Nicolas Isimat-Mirin of Valenciennes
Nicolas Isimat-Mirin is a 21-year-old centre back currently plying his trade in Ligue 1, a league and transfer market which Alan Pardew has dipped into before. Reports value him at around £4 million which would appeal to Newcastle. He can play on either side of the defence in a central position and he has represented France at Under-20 and Under-23 level.

Moussa Sissoko of Toulouse
There are contrasting reports over this possible transfer. Sissoko is the sort of midfield player that Pardew likes; versatile, aggressive, good in possession, solid technique etc. However, with everyone fit, Sissoko may struggle to get into the side which may put him off a move but again, the fee is likely to be on the lower side and represent good value for the club.
