PSG striker Guillame Hoarau has been a regular name in the gossip columns over the past few weeks, owing to him falling firmly out of favour at the French side.
The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer made his opportunities limited, despite a relatively impressive goals record of around one every three games.
Out of contract in the summer, Everton were the first club to be linked with him - David Moyes wanted the forward as long ago as last January.
At the start of this year The People claimed Liverpool were interested in the forward, who has five international caps.
And most recently it was Sunderland who had appeared destined to sign the striker; but now it is clear the goalscorer will not be heading for the Premier League.
Instead Hoarau has decided on a surprise move to China. He has signed for Dalian Shide and was presented to the press yesterday. He will pick up an annual salary of four million Euros per year, so its easy to see what prompted the 28-year-old's decision.
Former notable players to have played for Dalian Shide include former Manchester United flop Dong Fangzhao, and former Arsenal player Glenn Helder, Korean Ahn-Jung Hwan and Chinese legend Hao Haidong.
As for his Premier League suitors, they will have to look elsewhere for goals this January.
