Neymar could follow Pep Guardiola to Bayern Munich, according to reports from Spain. The Brazilian had been expected to move to Barcelona in the near-future, but even the Catalan press admit Guardiola's move to Germany complicates any transfer. Guardiola and Neymar were recently seen speaking with each other at the Ballon d'Or awards, and while the prospects of signing Messi to Bayern is impossible, Neymar is not - And Bayern have the finances to pull off such a transfer.
Kaka has announced his intention to leave Real Madrid this month as it is in the best intentions for him and ‘everyone involved’. The former World Player of the Year has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Madrid first team since arriving from Milan for a then world record transfer. However following his red-card against Osasuna at the weekend speculation grew that he would be allowed to leave this month; with AC Milan his favoured destination.
However along with David Beckham the deal looks unlikely after Milan chief Adriano Galliani announced it was very unlikely either would be arriving this month; as the club cannot afford the wages. It was reported yesterday that Milan was Beckham’s first choice but that deal now appears increasingly unlikely.
Barcelona have rejected a bid from local rivals Espanyol for talented B team play Gerard Deulofeu. The Spanish teenager has previously been linked with Manchester City and has not yet made a significant impact on the first team. However Andoni Zubizarreta claims that he is in the plans for Tito Villanova’s future with the side and is therefore not available for transfer.
Inter Milan are believed to be leading the chase for highly rated Romanian international Vlad Chiriches. The Steaua Bucharest defender is widely considered to be the best talent to emerge from his country in many years and has been likened to Nemanja Vidic in playing style. Chelsea have previously shown an interest in the player but it is believed the recommendation of Romanian legend Christian Chivu has given the Nerazzuri the edge in this pursuit.
Zdravko Kuzmanovic has stated his desire to play in Italy when his contract at Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart expires at the end of the season. The Serbian has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past but the 25-year-old has reiterated his desire to return to Serie A where he previously played for two seasons with Fiorentina.
Schalke 04 have confirmed the signing of Dynamo Kiev forward Raffael on loan until the end of the season. The Gelsenkirchen club also have an option to buy the Brazilian at the end of the season should his loan stint turn out to be a success. He has been brought in predominantly as cover for Ibrahim Afellay who is currently side-lined through injury. The player was said to be ‘hugely pleased’ to be playing in the Bundesliga again.
