QPR have had some major defensive problems this season. Harry Redknapp seems to have made a new centre back one of his main priorities before the transfer window slams shut and he doesn’t get another chance to talk about potential deals through his car window.
Here are a few facts about Rolando, a player QPR have been routinely linked with in recent days.
1) He only became a Portuguese citizen at the age of 14-years-old.
2) He can play on either side of central defence and comes in at six feet and two inches tall giving him the perfect build for a defender.
3) He’s played for Portugal at two different levels; Under-21 and senior level. He’s got 18 caps so far for his country at senior level.
4) He has only ever been at two senior clubs; Belenenses and Porto making over 200 appearances for both clubs.
5) He was in Portugal’s 2010 World Cup squad but was named as an unused substitute in every single match.
