New twist detailed in Paul Pogba's Manchester United exit

French midfielder Paul Pogba is one of world football's most talented teenagers.

His control of the game, presence, and long-range shooting ability were assets he routinely showed in Manchester United's youth teams, and now he is displaying the very same in Serie A.

As much as United would have liked to keep him, his head was turned by the opportunity to play in Italy, and having already switched from Le Havre to sign in Manchester, he felt little loyalty towards the Red Devils.

Juventus were the club who snapped him up, but his agent Mino Raiola has revealed they almost didn't.

"Pogba? Before you go to Juve I had offered to Sabatini but Roma refused. I talked to all the major, such as Milan believe it not. Then came Juve (and) took him."

So United won't be the only ones kicking themselves for missing out on the exciting talent.

AC Milan and Roma will both be looking towards Juventus enviously, and unlike United they will have to face the player they turned down on a regular basis over the coming seasons.

It really shows what a difficult task United had to keep Pogba when he was being hawked around Serie A like goods on a market stall by his agent, and only a young teenager it was inevitable his head was turned.

Raiola also counts Mario Balotelli among his clients, and he did successfully get him to Milan this week. Time will tell if they thank him for that one or end up blacklisting him forever.
