This year in cinema promises to be just as exciting as last year, with a fantastic selection of releases on the horizon that span many genres.

Monsters, Inc 3D

Our favourite monsters, Sully and Mike, are back on the big screen this year. From the creators of Toy Story and A Bug’s Life, Pixar are back doing what they do best by creating the well-loved film in 3D. Although we all know the story, it’ll be great to see the impressive graphics and visuals with another dimension.

A good day to die hard

A good day to die hard is the fifth in line of the Die Hard films with the notorious John McClane played by Bruce Willis. Out on Valentine’s day, John McClane finds himself in Russia trying to stop a nuclear-weapons heist with his son in tow. Father and son combined, will they be the duo to save the day ?

Wreck-it Ralph

Wreck-it Ralph is Disney’s new release featuring a computer animated character who begins to become tired of being the bad guy. Keen to turn the tables, Wreck-it Ralph travels through various computer platforms looking to be the hero. When an actual test of his character comes about, will he be victorious?

Oz: The Great and Powerful

Another Disney release, directed by Sam Raimi, Oz: The Great and Powerful is an adaptation of the popular The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Unlike the 1939 film, the variation focuses on the circus magician, Oscar Diggs, and his adventure with three witches. Similarly to Wreck-it Ralph, as a test of character, can Oscar prove himself as a fantastical wizard when needed?

Iron Man 3

Marvel’s long awaited follow up of Iron Man 3 is out in cinemas from April. Iron Man aka Tony Stark is set on a quest to find those who destroyed his personal world. As quoted on Rotten Tomatoes ‘does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?’
