Hitting shelves March 15th, Sony will be offering a new PlayStation 3 bundle to tie in with the release of God of War: Ascension.
A special edition of the game will be bundled with the new slim 500GB console, with a bespoke God of War: Ascension Dualshock 3 controller.
The special edition of the game features a copy of God of War: Ascension's soundtrack as well as online goodies, such as multiplayer benefits and a PS3 dynamic theme and PS3 avatar.
Sony's move to push the title comes as rumours suggest the PS3 has passed its heyday and may soon be supplanted by a new machine.
The company has issued a call for people to attend and pay attention to an announcement on February 20th, with reports lending strong support to speculation of a PlayStation 4 announcement.
God of War 2 served to show gamers that the PlayStation 2 was still a reputable console as the newly released PS3 hogged the limelight, perhaps this latest instalment in the franchise could do the same.
