The Telegraph believes that David Moyes will be major target for Chelsea this summer. Rafa Benitez is currently the interim manager at Stamford Bridge and has struggled at the club with the expectation of him being offered a new deal very unlikely. Moyes stated he would wait until after the January transfer window before tying himself down to a new-deal at Goodison Park and the daily believes that the collapse of deals and lack of acquisition may make him consider a move to Chelsea.
Everton’s star player Maraoune Fellaini is an injury doubt for the fixture with Manchester United this weekend. The Belgian has picked up an injury to his hip against Aston Villa at the weekend and is facing a race against time to get match-fit for the game at Old Trafford this Sunday. It would be a huge blow for Everton as Fellaini has been in great form; scoring twice against Aston Villa at the weekend. His record against United has also been exemplary recently; scoring the winning goal on the opening day of the season at Goodison Park and also scored in the 4-4 draw in this fixture last term that damaged the title dreams at Old Trafford.
Phil Neville is to hold talks with the club this week to talk about his future at Goodison Park. The 36-year-old skipper is wanted by David Moyes; who is expected to offer him a one-year-extension to his deal which expires this summer. The utility player deferred talks until March as he considers whether to quit in order to pursue a coaching career. Neville will be making his 300th Everton appearance against his previous club Manchester United if he features this Sunday.
