Peter Odemwingie played no part in West Brom's trip to Anfield last night, and it remains to be seen what his future will be.
Until he does something productive for West Brom, or gets his move away, the lasting memory of him will be his crazed deadline day dash to QPR to try and force through a transfer, which spectacularly backfired.
As a result he is the butt of many jokes, which restarted again yesterday when the Pope announced he would resign.
'Peter Odemwingie has been spotted outside the Vatican' - Tweeted hundreds of thousands of 'comedians' yesterday, not really expecting the player himself would pick up on the wisecracks. (Well he wasn't featuring against Liverpool, so what else did he have to do besides check his phone?)
Alas he did, but fortunately the striker saw the funny side, and even got in on the act.
He retweeted the following picture, and had some remarks of his own to add, here's what he had to say...

Should West Brom forgive and forget? Or send him packing to the Championship on loan?
