It hadn't seemed like it, but since his January loan move to Portuguese Champions League place chasers Rio Ave, life is on the up for the £7 million man.
He had previously been ridiculed as one of Sir Alex Ferguson's worst ever signings, but there are signs of a twinkling of talent.
Bebe actually impressed in pre-season for United, but wasn't handed a chance to build on it, until now.
At the weekend he scored his second goal for Rio Ave, his first in the league, helping them to fifth in the league with the 2-1 win.
