The Brazilian, recently turned 19, sounds like he is enjoying his time so far in Spain.
He said: "To come to Malaga was the best solution for me since Spanish football is very similar to that of Brazil.
"(I) felt at Chelsea a lot of pressure, Malaga will give the opportunity to grow with confidence."
Piazon has so far made two appearance for the Spaniards, both off the bench.
He played 11 minutes against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey in late January, and made his La Liga bow at the weekend against Levante.
He had been on the bench and not used twice prior, but played 25 minutes in the 2-1 win.
Piazon is correct that Chelsea probably isn't a massively enjoyable place right now, there has been talk of senior players at odds with Rafa Benitez's tactics, and the fans discontent is adding to it, despite the fact they remain third in the league.
He wasn't likely to play much, he had made just one Premier League appearance off the bench - against Aston Villa, so it has probably done him the world of good to have a change of scenery and hopefully play more regularly.
When he returns next season, he will hopefully have developed into a more mature and even better player, and the situation at Chelsea regarding the manager's post will have a permanent solution rather than an 'interim' one.
Chelsea fans should just hope he doesn't like his time in La Liga too much - that he gets a taste for it and wants to go there for good.
Will you be following Piazon's time in Spain? Can he play a part next season?
