Only 18, Lazar Markovic is a sensational talent, and it's crystal clear why Chelsea want him.
The teenager recently admitted to being invited and accepting a tour of Chelsea's facilities, but as we discussed earlier in the day, Taison did the same - and there is no guarantee at this stage a deal will be done.
As for Markovic himself; let's take a look.
Only 18, he is already a senior international, a pretty clear indication he is something special. Not only that but he is becoming a regular. He has made six appearances for Serbia to date, scoring one goal.
Markovic is an adaptable playmaker can play on either side - predominantly on the left, behind the striker or even as a forward. He seemingly fits the bill for the young collection of talented and versatile playmakers and scorers Chelsea are trying to accumulate.
He plays for Partizan Belgrade and his record this season is very impressive. In 14 SuperLiga matches he has scored six goals, and provided six assists.
That's almost a ratio of contributing a goal a game to his side. For a player so young, he really is a standout talent and it is no wonder Chelsea are interested in him.
Markovic also has Champions League experience under his belt, and Europa League. He played four CL qualifiers, providing one assist, and has provided two assists in eight Europa League games, playing at the San Siro against Inter Milan.
He also helped Serbia defeat Wales in a World Cup qualifier, providing an assist in a 6-1 win back in September.
Partizan want over £10 million for his signature, but it could be a steal if he continues to build on the form he has shown at such a young age.
Take a look at him in action here.
Would Markovic be a good signing for Chelsea?
