That's 10 goals in his last nine games for club and country for Gareth Bale.
We asked earlier in the week if he was peaking at the right time for to win the PFA Player of the Year Award - votes are cast in early March - and he didn't do his cause any harm at all.
Naturally Bale's exploits are winning him praise from around the world, with Real Madrid's interest a long-standing irritation and concern to Spurs fans.
Perhaps one of the most unexpected pieces of praise came last night, via a WWE Wrestler.
No it wasn't Hulk Hogan, but Wade Barrett, a current 'WWE Superstar' who has more than 440,000 Twitter followers.
Barrett is an Englishman who supports Preston North End, and keeps a keen on eye on the 'original' form of football despite being based in America.
His take on Bale's brace was simple- The Welshman is the best player in Britain. Quite a statement, but on current form it's difficult to argue, and Barrett is not the type of bloke you'd argue with.
Unbelievable from Bale. Best player in Britain.

Unfortunately I can't see Spurs keeping him much longer. If he moves, I hope he stays in England. He'd be a massive loss if he goes abroad.

Do you agree with Mr Barrett? Is he the best player in Britain?
