Shout loud enough and the board will hear. That appears to be Piers Morgan's perspective with his repeated 'Wenger Out' demands, which tend to quieten when the team is winning but when Arsenal lose to a team in the division below them they naturally intensify.
Arsenal beat Blackburn 7-1 last time they met at the Emirates, but this time around a Rovers side led by Michael Appleton - managing his third club in 2012/13, ground out a memorable 1-0 victory.
Former Gunner Ian Wright branded Wenger 'arrogant' in his team selection, and found many in agreement with him as key men Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Bacary Sagna were rested despite being fully fit; while Per Mertesacker who described the game as a 'important' prior to it - did not even make the bench.
Clearly the combination of team selection, performance and result were enough for supporters Piers Morgan to almost combust into a furious frenzy on Twitter.
Here's his full and frank 'blast' at the squad and manager:
At Emirates - phone signal, like the game, is terrible. We're poor, Blackburn awful, crowd silent, loads of empty seats. Happy days.

Gervinho - the new Santos. #Arsenal

Never seen an Arsenal side play this badly. Truly diabolical.

Wenger rested our best players for a competition we can't win - thus risking our one chance of a trophy. Ridiculous management. #Arsenal

Wenger OUT. Now.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 16, 2013
Why would any Arsenal fan possibly still want Wenger as manager after this? How much worse does it have to get?

Bring on Bayern!

Has Wenger resigned yet?
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 16, 2013
Arsenal fans who still support Wenger are helping drag our great club further into the mire of mediocrity: 8yrs, no trophy, going backwards.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 16, 2013
We now have a big flash stadium we can't fill because we sell our best players, and don't compete for trophies. What's the point? #Arsenal
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 16, 2013
It's not Wenger FC, it's Arsenal FC. He gave us great service for a long time and deserves our respect & thanks. But it's over.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 16, 2013
Alex Ferguson would be long gone at United with Wenger's record over last 8yrs at Arsenal - and we all know it. LONG gone.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 17, 2013
Anyone who's studied Bayern Munich this season knows we've got as much chance of beating them as @lord_sugar has of winning Miss Universe.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 17, 2013
And on that depressing note, have a nice Sunday. I'm going to watch my Invincibles DVD and weep gentle tears of nostalgia. #Arsenal

Do you agree with Piers - even begrudgingly?
