With Aston Villa in action later today we thought we should bring you the updated fixtures for the last 16 of the competition including the dates and locations.
Each of the 16 teams who qualified were ranked from the best to last with the top eight playing the bottom eight seeds in chronological order (1v16, 2v15 etc.)
The top eight seeds then get the privilege of playing at home in the second round. Unfortunately in order to comply with the domestic fixture list the NextGen organisers do not have the luxury of time for a two-legged fixture so in the circumstances this is the fairest way to get the best eight young teams in Europe through to the quarter-finals.
This format has not leant itself favourably to the English teams left in the competition as all five, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, are seeded in the bottom half of the pool meaning they will have to travel and win in order to make it through.
Here is the draw for the final 16…
Tuesday 19th February
Ajax v ASTON VILLA - De Toekomst
Wednesday 20th February
Paris Saint-Germain v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR - St Germain en Laye
Sporting Lisbon v LIVERPOOL - Jose Alvalade
Barcelona v CHELSEA - Mini Estadi
Wednesday 27th February
CSKA Moscow v PSV Eindhoven - Akdeniz Stadium (Turkey)
Thursday 28th February
Olympiakos v Anderlecht - Karaiskakis Stadium
Wednesday 6th March
Inter Milan v ARSENAL - Breda Stadium
Thursday 7th March
Juventus v Rosenborg - Alessandria Stadium
Be sure to check you respective clubs websites for details on how to view the games online in the days leading up to the fixture.
We wish all the English teams well starting with Villa later today.
