Manchester United are thought to be seriously considering a move to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. The club are thought to be ready to part with a fee of over £50 million and are prepared to put together a deal which would make Ronaldo the highest paid player in United’s history.
Tito Vilanova is unlikely to return to active duty with Barcelona until April. The Barcelona boss has been out of action after a reoccurrence in his battle against cancer. He had been tipped for a return by the end of the month but the delicate nature of his health means there is no point in taking risks.
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is targeting a return to the first team by the end of the month. The Spaniard has been out of action with a broken hand, which he picked up in the Copa del Rey match against Valencia. He was expected to return in March.
