Die Rotens dominance of the Bundesliga sees no end in sight after a brutal display against Werder Bremen thrashing them 6-1 in round 23 of the championship.
Their imperious league form has meant that Jupp Heynckes had the luxury of making 6 changes to the team that all but put an end to Arsenals hope of progressing in the UEFA Champions League at the Emirates last Tuesday.
Bayern controlled the first 30 minutes of the game scoring two well worked goals. The ever impressive Arjen Robben whipped a superb cross for Philip Lahm to knock in.
The Dutchman was in the middle of the action when £40 million summer signing Javi Martinez headed home a Robben free kick to make it 2-0.
On the stroke of half time the hill became a mountain to climb for Bremen when the lively Sebastian Prodl was sent off for a somewhat cynical foul on Mario Gomez.
They say that bad luck comes in threes and thats exactly what happened for Bremen when a comical clearance from Czech defender Theodor Gebre Selassie ended up in his own net making it 3-0 Bayern.
Before Bremen could get their breath back it was four thanks to a cool finish from the ever reliable Gomez thanks to some great work from Franck Ribery.
At this point Bayern where in cruise control but the away fans did have something to cheer when in the 58th minute on loan Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne made it 4-1 after a casual pass from Dante was intercepted and punished accordingly, the first striker Bayern have conceded in the Bundesliga in 2013.
In the last 10 minutes Bayern as they have done all season stepped up another gear and scored two more goals thanks to Ribery and Gomez making it 6-1 to complete the route.
After Borussia Dortmunds stale 1-1 draw with their namesakes Monchengladbach, Bayern are now a colossal 17pts clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
Mr Wenger, good luck...
