Middlesbrough made it through a potentially tricky tie against Aldershot Town for the right to host Chelsea. Only Cardiff City and Leicester City have more home wins in the Championship this season as Middlesbrough sit just outside the play-off places, giving them a great chance of getting back into the Premier League.

Chelsea secured their passage to this point of the tournament with a solid second leg win over League One side Brentford, 4-0 at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are one of the highest scoring teams away from home in the Premier League this season and they have seven wins on the road to date from league fixtures.
