Curtis will report to Richard House, Head of EMD at Standard Life Investments, and will be responsible for research and development into emerging market local currency debt. Kieran also brings to the team a wealth of experience in managing emerging market inflation linked bonds.
Curtis' appointment will further bolster the existing 26 strong fixed income team, who currently manage in excess of £72bn*, including a wide range of global government and corporate bond strategies across the credit spectrum. The EMD team has grown to four members and has had a strong start over the last five months since the launch of Standard Life Investments’ Emerging Market Debt Fund in October 2012.
Euan Munro, Head of Multi Asset Investing and Fixed Income at Standard Life Investments, said: 'Kieran is an experienced fund manager with a strong performance track record. As well as having extensive experience in the EMD sector which will prove invaluable to us, he adds considerably to what is already a strong and talented Emerging Market fixed income research capability. Kieran’s appointment will also enrich the many global fixed income and multi-asset strategies that are run by Standard Life Investments'.
