RPG supremo BioWare has reportedly closed down its San Francisco office and fired all employees, according to "a source within the company".
Anonymously speaking to Games Radar, the source claimed that between 25-30 people were let go as part of this company verge trimming.
The office had been responsible for the Canadian company's social and mobile games development projects, with gamers rewarded for playing the Facebook Dragon Age Legends title with up to five items for their main Dragon Age 2 characters.
At the time of the mobile game's release nearly a year ago, the now-defunct studio's general manager commented: “Dragon Age Legends brings true RPG combat and style to this massive social platform and delivers it at BioWare blockbuster quality, raising the bar for social games."
According to the report, the source says that mega publisher EA has deemed that it is too expensive to develop mobile titles in California.
