Roma badboy Pablo Osvaldo is a target for Tottenham Hotspur, with the Argentine striker the subject of enquiries from the club. The news has been reported by Talksport but stems from Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport, who claim Spurs have contacted Roma 'several times' about the striker. Spurs are said to be leading the chase for the 27-year-old, but Russian and Italian clubs are also interested.
Further reports from the continent have revealed that Joao Moutinho is to be sold by Porto this summer, with an agreement in place between the player and the club's president, so long as their 25 million Euros asking price is met. Moutinho almost signed for Spurs back in August, and is in action for Porto against Malaga tomorrow night.
Tottenham's promising Spanish youngster Cristian Ceballos is one of two players linked with leaving the club on loan imminently to Swindon Town, along with Dean Parrett, reported the Mirror last night. However no announcements have been made by either Tottenham or Swindon on the report, but this could be one for Spurs fans to keep an eye on over the next few days. Tottenham coach Chris Ramsey has praised the under-21 side who won 4-0 against West Brom yesterday to stay top of their group.
Fellow youngster Souleymane Coulibaly says he is hopeful of making his mark at Tottenham next season. He is currently on loan at Serie B side Grosseto in Italy.
Jan Vertonghen says he would have swapped both of his two goals at Anfield for a win or even a draw, with Spurs going down to a 3-2 defeat. Vertonghen added he is frustrated with the result, as he felt Tottenham were the better side in the match.
Michael Dawson is keen Tottenham 'complete the job' against Inter Milan in the Europa League, but is wary as he expects a reaction from Inter. The last time Spurs visited the San Siro they were 4-0 down by half-time, although fought back to very nearly claim a point to finish 4-3, but this time they will be without the suspended Gareth Bale. Andros Townsend has again been speaking about his loan spell at QPR, stating he is hoping to catch the eye of manager Andre Villas-Boas. Townsend scored a superb goal in the club's 3-1 win over Sunderland at the weekend.
Andre Villas-Boas has come out himself and criticised Reading's sacking of manager Brian McDermott, with just a handful of games remaining in the Premier League season. The boss said it was 'extremely disappointing', and can empathise with McDermott having been fired by an impatient Russian owner last season at Chelsea.
