Recent weeks have shown that Tottenham Hotspur are light on alternatives to Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon, with the wing positions one where the club could be expected to strengthen in the summer.
He is 21-years-old and currently plays for Spanish side Real Sociedad, where he came through the youth ranks. An unusual route for young Frenchman, but he was spotted early by the club, tempted over and has not looked back, earning recognition from the French under-21 sides.
Already he has made over 140 appearances for the club, who are genuine challengers for a Champions League spot this season, one of six clubs locked in a race for fourth spot in La Liga.
The Frenchman is versatile and while he plays predominantly on the left wing, he has made three starts in the centre of midfield attack this season, and three on the right wing.
At the weekend he turned in one of his best displays of the season, scoring a brace in a 4-1 victory over Valladolid.
His second goal just before half-time was something special. Latching onto a long ball he controlled it perfectly and volleyed it home. You can watch it here.
Griezman has bagged seven goals and provided three assists in La Liga this season and at 21 is only going to get better.
Tottenham's chances of tempting him away could depend on whether Sociedad secure Champions League football next season or not, but from a financial point of view they could make an offer too good for the Spaniards to refuse.
As far as potential wingers they should be looking to sign go, Griezman should be right near the top of the list.
