Defender Daniel Agger has signed a new long term Liverpool contract, drawing a line under the summer speculation which linked him with a move away from Anfield. The defender said he feels he belongs at the club and wants to play a key role in the team's future.
Young striker Samed Yesil is reported to have switched his allegiance to Turkey. Yesil has been a German youth international, recently playing and scoring for their under-19s. It is reported that Liverpool loan midfielder Nuri Sahin, a Turkish international, has helped influence his decision.
