News, views, and gossip relating to Tottenham Hotspur over the past 24 hours.

Steven Caulker has scored on his international debut, to put England 2-1 up in Sweden. It is the centre-back's second goal in successive games after netting for Spurs against City at the weekend.

Ledley King has praised the defender, who has effectively replaced him in Tottenham's defence. Caulker has started for England tonight against Sweden, winning his first international cap, and King believes it will do wonders for his career. "Having been there myself, it’s a big confidence-booster when you first go into the England squad. You come back to your club with your head held high, so confident, really believing you are a player."

Three private investigators purported to be working with Spurs have been charged with fraud and data protection offences, as part of the ongoing row into the future of the Olympic Stadium. The offences date back to a time last year when Tottenham were battling it out with West Ham for the site, the future of which remains unresolved.

Shakhtar Donetsk have dealt Spurs a blow in their efforts to sign Willian, setting a £28 million asking price for the Brazilian. It is a fee which may well see Spurs consider other targets, and rivals Chelsea may too baulk at.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has stated via his agent that he will decide his future in January. The Schalke striker's contract runs out at the end of the season, and Spurs are one of a number of clubs hoping the club will cash in on the Dutchman. Last week it was claimed that the goalscorer could yet renew his deal with the Bundesliga club, while reports in Germany this week claimed he had in fact agreed a deal with a Premier League club, something his agent was quick to deny. His agent said: "He has not decided if he wants to play in Italy, Spain, England or stay in Germany. He is planning his future in the winter."

Former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has won praise for his excellent form for LA Galaxy, which has seen them progress through the MLS Playoffs. Keane has scored four goals in his last two games, taking his tally to 18 for the season. For more on his form in America click here.

In light of Tottenham's reported interest in River Plate midfielder Leonardo Ponzio, Mathew Nash takes a look at the Argentine and asks what the player can offer Spurs.

George Burley has compared transfer target Wilfried Zaha to Gareth Bale insisting Zaha is of the same quality as Bale was at his age, and the Crystal Palace youngster has the potential to be every bit as good as the Welshman.

And finally, there is positive injury news for Spurs ahead of Saturday's North London derby. Right-back Kyle Walker is winning his fitness fight, according to TalkSport, and may be recovered from his hamstring problem in time to start the game.
