Full Manchester United squad to travel to Galatasaray - Macheda and Petrucci in

Macheda 2

Manchester United have left a host of stars behind as they prepare to return to 'hell'.

With qualification assured, and the first team turning in a limp performance against Norwich on Saturday, it's no surprise Sir Alex Ferguson has elected to spare his star men a trip to Turkey.

With the need to get back on track in the league v QPR at the weekend, it would be a disaster if Van Persie were to pick up an injury in the dead-rubber.

Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, David de Gea, and Patrice Evra have all been left behind.

Here is the full squad:

Johnstone, Lindegaard; Rafael, Buttner, Jones, Thorpe, Vermijl, Wootton; Carrick, Petrucci, Cole, Cleverley, Fletcher, Anderson, Powell, Young, Tunnicliffe; Hernandez, King, Welbeck, Macheda.

So it's a great chance for United's youngsters to get a taste of the Champions League away day experience, with England under-19 captain Tom Thorpe included for the first time.

Summer signings Nick Powell and Alex Buttner will hope for playing time, although there is no place for Chilean forward Angelo Henriquez, who scored for his country on his debut last week.

Here is our predicted line-up:

Lindegaard, Rafael, Jones, Wootton, Buttner; Cleverley, Anderson, Fletcher, Young, Welbeck, Hernandez.

How would you set the side up?
