I'm Mandy, Buy Me - Lazard Said To Appoint Peter Mandelson as Chair of International Unit

Pot Of Gold

Peter Mandelson once said that he had no problem with people being 'filthy rich', and now he looks set to join them.

The Financial Times has reported that Mandelson, the Labour peer and former UK business secretary, has been appointed chairman of the international arm of Lazard.

The appointment was added to the register of Lords’ Interests at the end of October, but it has not been publicised by either party.

In January 2011, Lazard appointed Mandelson as a Senior Adviser. As a Senior Adviser, he would provide independent strategic counsel to the firm and its clients (he also has a great contact book, which is clearly worth 'buying').
