All of the latest news from Liverpool.

West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long says he would be interested in a move to Liverpool. Reports have suggested that Liverpool could offer around £12 million for Long’s transfer but West Brom may hold out for more as Long has been one of their best players this season.

Former Liverpool player Jan Molby has urged Brendan Rodgers to sign striker Darren Bent in January. Reports have suggested that Liverpool will try and work out a £24 million deal for the out of favour Aston Villa man or they will try and get him in on a temporary loan deal. Molby says he is perfect for the club.

Joe Allen says the return of fellow midfielder Lucas will help the club qualify for the Champions League. Lucas has been out of action since August following a thigh problem. He returned in the weekend win against Southampton at Anfield and Allen says he will lift the team.

The bookies believe Liverpool are more likely to sign Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar than Arsenal this January. Both clubs have been linked with the big target man after contract negotiations over a new deal at the German club appear to have fallen through.

Brendan Rodgers has been left scratching his head over who will lead the Liverpool attack against West Ham United. Liverpool will be without their only key striker Luis Suarez who picked up a fifth booking of the season in the match against Southampton meaning he is banned.

Brendan Rodgers says he has a plan which will shape the future of Liverpool for many years to come. Rodgers has struggled since he came in as manager over the summer with the club currently lingering in the middle of the table. However, he has asked fans to have faith as he builds the new identity of his team.

Liverpool will not call back Andy Carroll from his loan deal at West Ham United following injury. Carroll was injured during the mid-week defeat at Manchester United last week and Liverpool have said he will stay at West Ham to have his knee problem treated.

Liverpool have been linked with a cut price deal for Dynamo Kiev striker Artem Milevskiy. The Ukrainian club have confirmed that the forward is available and Liverpool could make a bid in January as Brendan Rodgers is actively looking for a striker to support Luis Suarez.
