Chelsea pulled off the signing of Brazilian defender Wallace yesterday, but the right-back will not join the club until the end of the season. The Blues have agreed to loan the 18-year-old back to Fluminese and he says his target in this time is to learn English.

Swansea City's midfielder-turned-striker Michu has been a revelation this season, transferring his excellent La Liga form to become the Premier League's joint top scorer with 10 goals. So it should come as no surprise his exploits have turned heads on the continent. The Mirror report that the former Rayo Vallecano attacker is wanted by two Serie A clubs, Napoli and Genoa. Swansea would not want to lose their star man, and it would have to take a huge bid for them to consider selling their bargain £2 million signing. However, chairman Huw Jenkins says there is no way he would entertain a sale.

Arsenal fans hoping to see Andre Santos off-loaded in January may be disappointed, the Brazilian is said to have his heart set on staying with the club. He says that despite receiving enquiries from clubs in Turkey and Brazil his family are settled in London and he has a three-year contract he wants to honour.

There is better news for the Gunners with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha admitting he is a supporter of Arsenal. The England international let it slip on Twitter yesterday, adding that Arsene Wenger's side currently 'stress him out' - With respect to their losing streak, but the news could give Arsenal the edge in January if the two clubs can agree a fee.

Liverpool have identified Jack Butland as a replacement for Pepe Reina. The Birmingham City stopper is an England international and played for Team GB in the summer and is valued at between £8 million and £10 million. The Mail report the Reds are ready to swoop in and make an offer in January to try and secure his services.

Adam Lallana received recognition for his impressive Southampton performances this season with an England call-up, and he has now emerged as a target for Newcastle United with Alan Pardew keen to fill the absence created by Yohan Cabaye's injury - The Frenchman is not expected back until mid-February. Lallana signed a new deal a year ago and it is reported that Pardew will offer his old club £5 million for their captain, but the Saints are likely to want closer to £10 million.

The Mario Balotelli to AC Milan talk continues, with centre-back Francesco Acerbi insisting he would love the Manchester City ace to join him in Italy, commenting he would drive to England and pick him up himself to get him to the club. Balotelli is a Milan fan, but City are not yet prepared to sell the striker with the player's agent insistng he is keen on staying in England for now.

From England international to the Championship? Frazier Campbell's career has dipped since his call-up to the friendly squad back in February by Stuart Pearce, and it is being rumoured Steve Bruce wants to bring the striker back to Hull City, who he helped gain promotion to the Premier League earlier in his career. Bruce also signed him for Sunderland, and this year he is yet to score in the Premier League and being displaced from the side by Steven Fletcher.
