NBA reaches UK TV deal with ESPN

NBA All Star Game

The NBA has finally reached a deal with ESPN for live basketball games to be shown on TV in the UK and Ireland.

The first game to be shown live this season will be tonight's game between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat.

The NBA had a deal with ESPN for the 2011-12 season but had failed to reach an agreement for this year for the first month of the season.

There will be three live games per week during the regular season plus coverage throughout the playoffs.
