All the latest transfer news and gossip you need to know…

The big transfer news is the apparent exclusive from The Daily Mail that Chelsea are ready to offer Radamel Falcao an astonishing £200k-a-week deal with the club in order to lure him to Stamford Bridge in January. They are prepared to offer the Atletico Madrid man their highest ever salary in order to bring him to the club as their main marksman. The prolific striker has gained interest from around Europe with his goalscoring exploits for the Mattress Makers and now Roman Abramovich appears ready to step things up in order to get his man.

The Metro have picked up on reports from Spain that Real Madrid are ready to put aside a bumper package for Gareth Bale next summer. It is believed they are willing to pay €70million (£56million) on the Tottenham Hotspur winger as the Welshman becomes their key target for next season. They are likely to make room for his arrival by offloading the likes of Kaka and Angel Di Maria.

Reports today have now claimed that Theo Walcott is likely to join Chelsea above anybody else in January. The Guardian among many sources attributes The Blues with an interest as Arsenal gear up to sell him at a cut-price in January. Manchester United are also reportedly interested but would have to make room for him with the sale of Portuguese winger Nani - who is wanted by Roma. Liverpool expected to challenge for him in the summer on a free transfer and have earmarked their January budget toward bringing in Blackpool winger Thomas Ince and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge so Chelsea seem to have the advantage; although Juventus are also still reportedly keen according to reports in France.

Everton have been linked with another French based player in the form of Paris-Saint Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau. It follows yesterday’s reports that they were in the hunt for Hoarau’s team-mate Kevin Gameiro and Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder. He has fallen down the pecking order at PSG after the arrivals of several big name players including Zlatan Ibrahimovic and is likely to move on a free transfer this summer with Ligue 2 side AS Monaco also interested.

England under-21 centre back and Team GB Olympic member Craig Dawson has become a transfer target for Swansea. The West Bromwich Albion 22-year-old has struggled to cement a place in the first team so The Baggies may be interested in offloading the former Rochdale man with Championship side Blackpool also showing an interest.
