The transfer window is already in full-flow with many clubs wasting little time in trying to get early business done. As the Premier League has grown into the biggest league in the world this has seen a growing rise in the amount of foreigners playing in the league and recently one popular trend has been to bring in Brazilian players. The likes of Sandro, Oscar, David Luiz, Andre Santos and Maicon are all current Brazilian internationals who are plying their trade in the Premier League.
As we have discovered previously right here on HITC this can often go one of two ways as Brazilian footballers tend to only ever be hit-or-miss. Some gain cult status as excellent football players while others fade out quickly in a cloud of disappointment.
This window has already seen many Samba stars linked with a move to the Premier League. Here is a few in question who we think could be massive hits in England.
Willian - Shakhtar Donetsk
The Shakhtar Donetsk forward was reported to have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur this previous summer yet it never materialised. It is believed that Portuguese manager Andre Villas Boas remains confident of bringing the player in as long as they can manage to sufficiently sweeten the notoriously hard-bargainers in Ukraine.
Leandro Damiao - Internacional
Another player linked with Spurs; among with a host of other Premier League clubs. Currently playing in his homeland with Internacional he has flip-flopped on where his future lies since impressing at the London 2012 Olympics.
Dede - Vasco de Gama
While the player himself claims he wants to remain at his club for years to come this may become a situation that is taken out of his hands as Vasco suffer with serious financial problems. AC Milan have been linked in the past while Manchester United are also reportedly keen admirers of the man likened to Franz Beckenbauer for his imperious performances. Meanwhile he could also make a move to Corinthians in order to stay in his homeland as per his wishes.
Paulinho - Corinthians
Arsenal, Manchester City and more recently Chelsea have been linked with the box-to-box midfielder at World Club champions Corinthians. The club in fact only owns a very small percentage of the player’s rights so any deal could be done above the heads of the club hierarchy itself. A lot may depend on just exactly Paulinho actually wants this January as bids are almost inevitable.
Bernard - Fluminense
News is spreading that Turkish outfit Galatasaray have stolen a march on any Premier League rivals for the Fluminense forward who is reportedly available for around £10 million. Chelsea have been the Premier League club linked with a move for the diminutive attacker in the past month so may have to move quick to beat Turkish opposition to his signature.
Would you like to see any of these players feature in the Premier League?
