European transfer update: Including Belhanda and Sneijder

Younes Belhanda

News of all the transfers occurring around the continent including previous Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Sunderland, Everton and Manchester City targets.

Paris Saint-Germain, Montpellier, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Udinese, Inter Milan, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce all feature.

In France now and a sensational rumour has surfaced after recent comments made by Colombian goal-machine Radamel Falcao that suggested he may consider a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The Atletico Madrid striker has long been linked with a move to Chelsea, Manchester City or Real Madrid but it now appears that the big-spending French side are also willing to stump up the cash necessary to bring him to Ligue 1 and Falcao himself has refused to rule out a move that would see him partnering Zlatan Ibrahimovic up-front.

Meanwhile PSG have sold another one of their outcasted strikers. Following the move of Guillaume Hoarau who moved to China last week Brazilian forward Nene has turned his back on a move back to his homeland by agreeing a move to Qatar side Al Gharafah.

Nuri Sahin could complete a permanent move back to Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. A reported fee of €6 million has been implemented in the deal with Real Madrid that would see him return to his old club on a permanent basis. Madrid loaned him out to Dortmund after a similar deal at Liverpool was cut short.

Udinese are prepared to let Italian international Diego Fabbrini leave the club on a loan deal. The young forward has not been playing regular football this season and is believed to be increasingly upset by his lack of playing time. However the Udine club see him as a future starter and are not prepared to let him leave on a free.

Juventus Director General Beppe Marotta has ruled out any major incoming signings this month. He says that no ‘important names’ are being offered by the current market which rules out recent rumours linking the Bianconeri with moves for Didier Drogba, Fernando Llorente and Robert Lewandowski.

Wesley Sneijder has been one of the dominant names in the January transfer window after Inter Milan made it clear they were attempting to remove his hefty wages from their weekly bill. Nobody has been willing to stump up the cash for the Dutch international accept for Turkish side Galatasaray. While stumbling block is Sneijder’s reluctance to play in Turkey it appears that another could be the overall cost of a deal which they apparently can’t afford. However the source of this information would say something like that, as he is the vice-president of bitter rivals Fenerbahce.

Staying with Fenerbahce and they are still in the hunt for Younes Belhanda. The Montpellier playmaker is also being linked with Tottenham, a claim laughed off by AVB recently, and Fener are believed to be in the process of convincing the player his future lies in Turkey.

Finally and former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has made a shock move by swapping from Cercle Brugges to Club Brugges.
