All of the latest news connected to Liverpool.

Luis Suarez is expected to make way for Fabio Borini this weekend in the FA Cup tie away at Oldham. Suarez is expected to be named as a sub for the matches which will give Borini a chance to compete directly against Daniel Sturridge for one of the regular attacking spots in the team.

Jamie Carragher and Sebastian Coates are expected to start in the heart of the Liverpool defence for the FA Cup clash against Oldham this weekend. Brendan Rodgers is mulling over a number of changes which will also see Andre Wisdom return to the back for and Suso playing at right midfield.

Liverpool target Christian Eriksen has told Ajax that he will not walk away from the club for free. Eriksen has a new contract offer from the Dutch giants and is expected to sign it before a transfer move away so that the club get a hefty fee for his services from the side that buys him.

Liverpool have apparently been told to improve their offer for Philippe Coutinho by the end of the weekend or risk losing out on him altogether. Liverpool are battling against Southampton for the services of the Inter Milan attacker but seem reluctant to bid over the £10 million mark which is the current fee.

Liverpool could be set to poach talented Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alex Pritchard at the end of the season. The dynamic midfielder turns 20 this spring and his current deal at the club expires meaning he could be free to walk away for nothing unless he signs a new deal with Spurs.

Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey says he is desperate to win back a starting place in the Liverpool first team. Shelvey has struggled to maintain his place in the side since December and says he is willing to play in any position for Liverpool if it means he gets the chance to play regularly.

Liverpool forward Fabio Borini says he is relishing the chance to compete against Daniel Sturridge for a place in the side. Borini has just returned to first team action after recovering from a broken foot and it seems a toss up between him and Sturridge for the chance to partner Luis Suarez in Liverpool’s attack.

Steven Gerrard has revealed that he has no regrets over staying loyal to Liverpool. The Liverpool captain had the chance to move to Chelsea just after Roman Abramovich became owner, but says although the move nearly happened, he is not displeased that it didn’t.

Nuri Sahin has spoken out about his time at Liverpool saying he was never happy at the club. Sahin originally signed on a season long loan deal which was terminated earlier this month, allowing him to return to Borussia Dortmund. He says he didn’t enjoy his team at Real Madrid or Liverpool.
