Christopher Samba is reportedly open to QPR's interest in him, report The Mail. Samba left Blackburn a year ago to join Russian side Anzhi Machachkala, but his family remain in England and the defender would like to return to the Premier League. QPR are said to be preparing a £10 million offer for the centre-back, who would fill the void left by former Rovers teammate Ryan Nelsen.

QPR have tied up the signature of South Korean defender Yuk-Suk Young. The 22-year-old had his work permit approved yesterday and featured in the Olympics last summer.

AC Milan's Urby Emanuelson, previously reported to be a target for Arsenal, is set to join Fulham on loan. The 26-year-old midfielder is due at the club for a medical today.

With Mario Balotelli set to be unveiled as an AC Milan player today, the Mirror report that David Villa is Manchester City's top target. It is claimed that City have already approached Barcelona as to his availability, and while Arsenal's advances have been knocked back, City's riches could tempt Barcelona into selling for an 'exceptional' price. However City are reported to have denied interest, which could enhance Arsenal's chances of signing the striker.

Chelsea are reported to have had a bid accepted for Jack Butland by Birmingham, but the stopper is said to be unconvinced at the prospect of spending his time on the bench behind Petr Cech. Negotiations are ongoing.

West Ham are closing in on a move for Paul Robinson, report the BBC. The goalkeeper player under Sam Allardyce at Blackburn, where he remains, but has fallen out of favour at Ewood Park in recent weeks.

Talksport claim Norwich have had a third bid for Gary Hooper knocked back by Celtic, who are determined not to sell the striker. The Mirror report the Canaries are set to turn their attention towards Leeds United's wantaway forward Luciano Becchio instead, by offering £3.5 million plus Steve Morison.

Reading are likely to up their offer for Thomas Ince to £8 million. The club had a £6.5 million bid for the Blackpool winger turned down earlier this week.

Wigan are looking at a bringing a familiar face back to the DW; Paul Scharner. Manager Roberto Martinez confirmed he is working on a deal to bring the Austrian back after struggling for starts with HSV in the Bundesliga.
