Manchester United target Luis Suarez' international teammate

Uruguay Line Up

Manchester United have been linked with signing Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres.

Manchester United have been linked with another defensive target, this time it's Martin Caceres, pictured above chatting to Luis Suarez.

The claims were made by Talksport earlier today and have also been reported in Italy, where Caceres currently plays his club football.

So who is he and what can we tell you about him? Here are five facts...

1) Caceres is 25-years-old and plays for Juventus in Serie A, making 18 appearances this season and scoring one goal.

2) He only signed for them last summer from Sevilla for £7 million, and has previously played for Barcelona - who once paid £14 million for him.

3) Caceres can play at centre-back and right-back, making all but two appearances this season in the centre.

4) He is an international with Uruguay with a World Cup semi-final appearance to his name, which is one of the 42 caps he has for his country.

5) Caceres has a Champions League winners medal won in 2009 as part of the Barcelona squad which beat Manchester United in Rome, but he did not feature in the game.
