Report - 'Close associate' reveals the reason Bale will reject Real Madrid

Bale Battles V Madrid

A ‘close associate’ to Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale has revealed he will snub Real Madrid because of his family ties in the UK.

The speculation and rumours have gone into overdrive following a report in Marca that suggested Bale had agreed a six-year deal with the Spanish giants but that seems to have been nothing more than mischief making from the pro-Real Madrid news source.

Bale will not be leaving Tottenham and the main reason is because he’s just become a father at a very young age and reportedly doesn’t want to create that level of mass upheaval for his young family, write the Evening Standard.

The source close to Bale suggests that his step into fatherhood last October is the main reason he doesn’t want to leave England for Spain this summer.

Bale has admitted in the past that he wants to play Champions League football, he wants to experience in the game in a foreign league but he’s only 24-years-old and doesn’t have to do any of that quickly.

It makes much more sense for him to stay in London and England while he goes through the early stages of nurturing his new family, until he’s in a much more solid and stable position in that respect.

It seemingly boils down to the risks involved and the issue that Bale doesn’t seem to want his newly born daughter to have to grow up in the unfamiliar surroundings of the Spanish capital.

The obvious counter argument is that he wouldn’t have to move his family, that he could go and play for Real Madrid leaving his family in England, but that would seemingly contradict everything he holds dear about family values.

The source also suggests that Bale doesn’t want to go to Spain because of close family in Wales who he apparently visits every time he gets time off from his duties with Spurs.

That would be substantially more difficult if he was a Real Madrid player because it’s easier for him to jump in the car or catch a domestic flight over to Wales than if he’s having to fly back to the UK every time he wants to catch up with or see his family.

He has ambition as a professional footballer, that’s quite clear, but it’s a case for Bale of balancing out that ambition against the reality of his personal life and the knock on effects for his family of his professional decisions.

That’s what it’s all about because if he wanted to earn more money, he could push for a bigger deal with Tottenham Hotspur, which the club would give him because he’s that important to the Tottenham cause.

He’s already earning more than enough to support his family for life. He’s just putting them first which is what the majority of us would do without a second thought. Real Madrid can wait.
