Real Sociedad are in a good moment, despite winning just one point from four Champions League games.
Just being in the competition at all has exceeded the expectations of pundits and even themselves, after a superb fourth placed finish last season.
Coupled with the £34 million sale of Asier Illarramendi to Real Madrid in the summer, financially they are looking good too, this week posting positive financial results.
A natural question for club president Jokin Aperribay at his press conference today came on winger Antoine Griezmann, linked recently with Manchester United by the player himself - who revealed the Red Devils were watching him.
Aperribay had this to say, reported by AS:
"On Griezmann I have no inclination, because yesterday I got a coffee with him, but do not talk about money or contract.
"We expect to have no offers for him, because it is not a year that Real (Sociedad) needs money."
Which is not to say the talented French winger's departure is not impossible if he wants to move to United, for Aperribay confirmed he wants players only who are committed to the cause.
Aperribay added, in reference to all players:
"We'll just have sporting success from ambition, so if a player wants to leave, let him go."
Over to United then to convince the player Old Trafford is the place to be; but they will face competition. Juventus are also claimed to be interested in the left winger, 22, who has a phenomenal eight goals in 10 La Liga games this season.
Should United ditch Young and sign Griezmann in January?
