Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell is starting to finally look the part after some decent form for Olympiakos in Greece - and an excellent term with Real Betis last season.
The man dubbed ‘the next Paolo Wanchope’ is even beginning to look like a man who could make it into the Arsenal first-team one day.
But the goal he scored this weekend will live long in the memory.
Olympiakos, who are running away with the Greek Super League once again this season, were taking on Panthrakikos yesterday - and as expected romped to a 4-1 victory.
Goals came from Kostas Manolas, Andreas Samaris and Javier Saviola - but their second goal was scored by Campbell.
And it is one of the more bizarre goals you are likely to see this season.
The forward was peeling off to the back post when a long ball into the area went a little bit too long and seemed destined to fly out of play.
But Campbell showed his determination by chasing it down and heading it back across goal.
In fact he headed it a little too close to goal … in fact he headed it up in the air, looping over the opposing goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
How much he actually knew about it we are not sure, but it was still a marvellous looking goal regardless.
Here it is…
Have you ever seen a stranger headed goal than Joel Campbell's?
