Reports in Italy are suggesting that the Serie A champions are ready to make a move for unsettled Paris Saint-Germain star Jeremy Menez.
Liverpool have been linked with a lot of players in advance of the January transfer window, with Brendan Rodgers’ men looking to bolster their squad to aid them in their quest to finish in the top four.
One of the names that the Anfield side are reportedly monitoring is Paris Saint-Germain winger Jeremy Menez.
The France international’s contract with the big-spending club is expiring in the summer, and it is believed that the capital city side will not renew his deal at the Parc des Princes.
As such, Menez could well be available for a cut price, as the Ligue 1 side look to avoid losing the player for free in six months time.
The versatile attacker has only started four games in the league this season for Laurent Blanc’s men, scoring two goals in the process.
However, Liverpool will face some competition for the former Roma man, with reports today suggesting that Italian champions Juventus are ready to launch a bid for the attacker in January.
Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Antonio Conte’s men are set to open a bidding war for Menez in the new year, with a €3 million offer set to test PSG’s resolve.
Juve know the player well from Menez’s three years playing in Serie A for Roma, and are eyeing up a quick bid for the star.
The player is in desperate need of regular first-team football, as he has slipped out of the France national team and will want to get a chance to impress ahead of the World Cup.
Should Liverpool battle Juve for Menez?
