Top firm CEO 'lonely'

Wells Fargo Chairman and CEO John Stumpf says there's a 'lonely' element to running one of the world's largest banks.

'Who do you go to lunch with and talk about ? Stumpf joked in a story published on Yahoo Finance in which he reflects on a wide range of issues and his career.

'I never set out to be CEO. I always set out to be a good team member, a good colleague', Stumpf said. 'I would say this job, while I love it and I'm privileged to work with all my colleagues, it is lonely'.

San Francisco Business Times reports that the Yahoo Finance piece includes references to coverage the bank and its chief executive have received in both Forbes magazine and Institutional Investor.
