Arsenal and Chelsea striking target "not thinking about changing clubs"

Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa is said to be happy at the Vicente Calderon amid Premier League interest.

Striker Diego Costa has been the undoubted star in Atletico Madrid’s excellent start to the season, with the lethal marksman bagging 19 goals in 17 games in La Liga this term.

As such, the Brazil-born forward has been heavily linked with a move to both Chelsea and Arsenal of late, with both London sides thought to be ready to break the bank in January to land the attacker.

However, Atletico sporting director Jose Caminero has stated that Costa is happy at the capital city side and not thinking about a move to England.

“Right now Costa is not thinking about changing clubs because he is happy at Atletico,” the former Spain international told AS.

“Diego is happy here, he has just renewed his contract and has stressed that he would like to stay here.

“He knows how the club works, money is not a problem.”
