Arsenal v Tottenham - 17 clean sheets between them this season

Arsenal & Tottenham have shared a fair few thrillers over the years, though their defensive records this season mean it could be closer this time around.

When you think of Arsenal against Tottenham, you think of goals...

The last 0-0 draw between the two sides came in 2009, while there have been 18 goals in their last four meetings alone.

When the two sides meet in the FA Cup tomorrow, however, the statistics suggest it might be a different story.

Indeed, while Spurs sit sixth in the Premier League, they are third in the league's clean sheet table, with eight to their name after 20 games. Arsenal, meanwhile, have nine so far - and are top of that league, as well. That makes 17 in total between the two north London rivals.

A war of attrition may commence, then, with a tight game seemingly on the cards.

The two sides have already met this season, of course, with the Gunners triumphing 1-0 at the Emirates - and a low scoreline looks likely once again tomorrow.

A key reason for Arsenal's defensive solidity so far has been the impressive form of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who will almost certainly start against Tottenham if manager Arsene Wenger has any designs on winning the tie.

The Poland international, though still erratic at times, has come on leaps and bounds this season and has been hailed by many as the division's best goalkeeper.

His opposite number, though, is likely to give him a run for his money, with Hugo Lloris not falling short of praise for any of his heroics this term either.

The Frenchman is famed for his 'sweeper-keeper' role and was at his superb best against Manchester United on New Year's Day, helping Spurs survive a late surge and claim a precious 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

Both have also been helped by terrific defending from their respective back lines, with Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker in particular shining for Arsenal this season.

Tottenham's back four have struggled by comparison but a relatively new partnership of Michael Dawson and Vlad Chiriches looks to be holding strong for Tim Sherwood's side at the moment.

Who is more likely to keep another clean sheet on Saturday - Arsenal or Spurs?
