A round up of the latest transfer stories about Tottenham Hotspur.
Napoli remain confident of completing a deal for Etienne Capoue before the end of the week.
The 25-year-old is thought to be open to a switch to the Serie A giants if Tottenham do a deal with Napoli before the close of the transfer window.
The sticking point seems to be the fee with Spurs demanding €15 million which would represent a €4 million profit on what the club paid for the Frenchman last summer.
Spurs director Franco Baldini has reportedly been sent to Italy to negotiate several deals with Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan.
Spurs have been strongly linked with moves for Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic and Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.
He may also play a part in that deal for Capoue, looking to push it through before the transfer deadline on Friday.
One player Spurs may struggle to sign before the close of play on Friday is former striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen says he expects the striker to stay at the club for at least the rest of the season.
“I expect him to stay yes, because there has been no interest so far,” he said.
